Men's Retreat

In Him Men’s Retreat Registration Is Now Open

March 3-5, 2023 in Kansas City, MO

The Latest - As Of 2/24/23

Hello Men,

Prepare for Spiritual renewal, Interactive discussions, Uplifting friendships, Food and fellowship!

We have 25 signed up for this retreat. Those coming with wives, please note that we will be separated from our wives for just under 48 hours. The men and women each have accomodations on site.  The men are staying where the KCCOG Youth Retreat was held for over a decade at the Three Trails Camp & Retreat Centerhttps://threetrailscamp.org/, 16200 E US HWY 40, Kansas City, MO. 64136. The Sisters in Christ Women’s Retreat (sistersinchristkc@gmail.com) will be 36 miles away at the same time at https://www.heartlandretreatcenter.org/faq, 16965 MO-45, Parkville, MO).

BEGIN: Check in starts at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 3rd with dinner at 6 p.m. If you want to help with kitchen setup, come earlier. I’m a couple hours south of Kansas City. I plan to drive up and get groceries that morning and check in between 1pm and 2pm.

Saturday: We’ll have three meals and multiple group and mini-sessions. We’re inviting church members from KCCOG to have Sabbath services with us at 11am.

Sunday: We’ll have two meals as well as group and mini-sessions.

END: We plan to wrap up shortly before noon on Sunday, March 5th so that we can clean up and vacate the premises by 1pm. If you are coordinating rides with the women’s retreat, they also need to vacate by 1pm, so plan to leave early enough to drive 36 miles to pick up before their deadline.

BRING: Linens are not provided, so bring your own bedding (pillows, bed liners, sheets and blankets or sleeping bags). Also, bring your own wash cloths, towels, soap and shampoo for the showers. Two of the rooms are ADA accessible, so be sure to note on the registration form if that is something you need. Lots of guys brought their own mugs, but styrofoam cups will be provided. If you are flying in and bringing bedding is a hassle, let me know. I can bring a sleeping bag and pillow for you. Bring your Bible. Everyone will be paired up with a pair of Bible verses and a partner (chosen by lots). Please pray that God blesses these pairings.

We will be staying in Booth Lodge and using the Oak Room, which were the same rooms we used when the KCCOG (https://www.kccog.org/) hosted the KC Youth Retreat. Each room sleeps up to three people with community bathrooms down the hall. There is a comfortable lounge and sitting area. We have access to a full kitchen in the meeting room. Any medication or special foods may be stored there. There is WIFI in both Booth Lodge and the Oak Room. The network and password information will be provided when you arrive.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

See you soon!
